Oh I wondered what the go is between Pansy and Millicent. I guess that 'friendship' is on the way out too. I can see Pansy getting the rough end of the stick both in and out of her own House.

Interesting that she ran straight into Ginny and I'm guessing Ginny has grown up a lot too given the way she so quickly reigned in her temper whilst talking to Pansy. And yay that she handed Pansy the offer of a friendship. You have no idea how much I'm smiling and nodding right now. LOL I wonder what she'll tell Ginny about getting along with Blaise????

Wow, that was the smoothest break up in history. Who says Ron can't be mature? That was refreshing. :) I laughed that he seemed surprised that she was going to break up with him though. Men! Oh and what a hmmmm cliffy isn't quite right. We know Hermione is heading off to see Ginny and Ginny is out walking around the lake with Pansy and that means only Blaise is in the Head's rooms. Oh I can't wait to see what happens next!!!!! :) Okay, now I'm ready for another post. LMAO

Bloody hell, I've tried three times to read chapter six and got interupted every time I went to review and now you've posted another one!! I suppose I better do a review for each chapter so I don't take up too much room. LOL Plus you'll get an extra bump that way too. :)

I love the updated dorm style, more like a college atmosphere for the older students. :) I wonder how Ginny and Blaise are going to go sharing a room???? LOL I can imagine him not exactly knowing how to react around Ginny any more than he does around Hermione. LOL Love it! And squee, I did an all house common room in one of my stories, I love that it's in here too. LMAO on Ron teasing Harry about Ginny's previous boyfriends. I also like that Ron isn't acting the total self centred brat (although I love it when he does too) and that you gave him brains too. :)

How cool that Hermione and Parvati are together and you described how I would imagine Hermione's reaction to not getting Head Girl perfectly. :) And yes, I do hope they rub off on each other in a good way too.

Yayness on Theo standing up for Draco. I bet that shocked him more than what the other dolt was actually saying. Given he has a point but there's a time and place and all that. I think interesting things will come of them too, mateship wise. LOL Speaking of Theo, I hope you don't mind but I started a Lucius story and gave Theo a part in it in honour of you. Just so you know I wasn't stealing your idea, just using him to say yay to you (if that makes sense).

LMAO at Blaise's 'mother' comment to Ginny. She's right though, gritted teeth and all. Let's hope he gets with the program - and soon. LOL I love his self reflection over the two Gryffindor women and Gryffindors in general. Will be very interesting to see what becomes of that!!

And on to chapter 7 assuming I don't get interrupted.......

Oh....brilliant changes to the House dormitories.... I love the added kitchenettes and the ALL-House Commonm Room idea!

OH...I like that you've not written Ron as an idiot, while not my favorite character, he always seems to get a bad reputation for idiocy (and I, too, and guilty of writing him that way...LOL) and he is going to talk to Hermione....hmmmm that doesn't sound good. Wonder if his innocent question regarding Pansy is not so innocent after all.

I actually like Parvati as a character, I know she mostly gets written as a simpering, giggling miss, but i think that there was more underneath that. And I like that she wants Hermione to have fun....thats important after the war and everything they have gone through.

YAY Theo!!! Defending his friend!! Draco has suffered enough in my opinion! And I see that it wasn't just a fluke that Theo made the effort with Harry, he is changing in every way!! =) My heart goes out to Draco, trying to follow his fathers footsteps, being threatened by a madman, and all long just wanting to be accepted, to fit in, Its hard to accept that his past actions have made it difficult for Malcom Braddock to see him as a person. I hope Theo's offer of friendship is a start in the right direction for him.

LMAO at the interaction between Blaise and Ginny....so reminiscent of Draco and Hermione....would all Slytherins and Gryffindors have volatile relationships like this? Its interesting to see Blaise a little disoriented with all the changes. Generally he is more laid back and accepting of things. I'll be curious to see where this possible pairing goes from here...

Wonderful update!!! Looking forward to more =)

    Love

Thanks, H! I'm feeling better, but I'm not ok yet:(. Our Draco is starting to drow up :), poor thing he was rejected by his housemate, but this is also good for his ego (which is too big). The destiny (in this case you) is not good to him - Voldy, his father, Pansy and now this fellow Slytherin, but he needs to pay his mistakes, to change and to grow up. Theo is so cute and understanding.
My favourite stories are with "cannon" Hermion and Draco (or Sev), where they fall in love. I'm not crazy, I swear. I think that the horrors of the war could have made a difference for Draco.
Thanks for trying to put Sev in the sequel, but if you are not inspired by him, it doesn't metter.
I have the impression that your Blaize is a little bit instable and have some serious emotional problems, non? He is not going to do something stupid?
I guess that the person that knocked on Hermione's door is Ron.
Don't forget that you promissed 3 updates this week. hugs

3 updates this week :) I love you, H! Nice gift for the still ill girl that I am, even if I should go to work tomorrow.
I love Harry so much, he is so cute and fantastic. Your Harry and Ginny are very much how I see them.
Hermione and Draco spoke to each other finally :) (and we are in chapter 5... How long is this story?). Did Draco really wanted to call her mudlblood? Why he didn't find a word to call her something? I liked that he said just "you... you".
Your Hermione and Draco are also very cannon to the books. But I think that if he rally stays as in the books there is nothing possible between them.
    Please no Hermione/Blaise.
Did Pansy expalined to Harry about her actions from the previous year or she just started to talk to him about Draco? I hope that she explained herself for the past and afterthat continued with her personal problems. I think that Harry deserves an explanation about her behaviour, especially if they are going to see each other more often because of Ron.
I liked how the "Ron" problem split off from her in the conversation.
Draco was so untouched by this discovery, how strange. Et Pansy seems so right telling that he doesn't care about anything.
I love Harry, I love Harry... I laughted a lot at his last sentence.
Something funny is that I think that if one day Pansy is going to marry Ron, Molly will also try to impose herself and choose the wedding dress.
As you are writing the sequel could you find a love for Sev, pleaseeeeeee!
    big hugs, hon!!!

LOL The review as you go is much easier than me getting confused and flicking between screens, but sometimes the obvious never hits me and I feel the need to do everything the hard or the long way. (Not that it's always a bad thing) *grins*. *cough* Anyway, of course this is (more than)good enough to review, it's yours. :) Meh, I don't think you're sorry you made me cry and I have a feeling that I should keep the tissues handy as well. Theo as a bridge works for me, they all have a part, no matter how big or small the characters 'lines' may be. But especially being a Slytherin and one of the few that Draco actually considered as an equal (according to offical books), that was quite the delightful surprise.

Now I LOVED Ginny standing up for Pansy and the fact that Pansy wanted comfort from her and how much she appreciated what Ginny was doing for her. This is one of the things that remind me of me, I am fiercely defensive of those I love and who I think need it, I have an over-delveloped mother hen instinct I'm afraid. LOL So yay for Ginny I say very egotistically. LOL I think the calmness of Harry and Ginny's firyness is a good balance and why I think they are a good match and I love that he offered Pansy a way out. How many times did he wish that he had one over the years???

Oh and I love that you have a mix of true seventh year and repeat seventh year as Heads of the school. :) Nice touch.

And the title is so apt here, You just know how hugely Draco is struggling with his own emotions, thoughts and past and future deeds (much as Blaise is to a degree but certainly with not as much guilt). And his shock that Granger of all people would stop and think to check on him and say he looked like he needed a friend. I bet a few brain cells fell over in denial at that one. LOL But that's her, isn't it. When she's not out to prove that she's as good as anyone else, she has an enormous capacity for compassion and she sees when someone else needs it. Except for Ron maybe. LOL

Hmmm as for Blaise, he's having quite the heart to heart in his head, isn't he? I wouldn't be surprised if he did make a play for Hermione or, perhaps realise that she is perfect for someone else...... LOL Of course, as you said, there is a sequel and maybe he's just paving the way between Hermione getting Ron out of her system and heading towards her new love. cough Draco cough!! LMAO

And finally, poor Pansy. Just how long has she been bottling up this resentment for her impending promise to be Draco's wife? To be telling Harry of all people, especially letting things slip about Ron. I do hope she and Ron get together though, I would like to see that. And ouch, of all the people to overhear. I think though, that Draco took it as a personal rejection and a blow to his ego, not the simple truth that it was. She has doubts and so does he, they just need to get to a point where they decide they're going to do something about it. Which is why I need you to post some more please. LOL

I'm taking a leaf out of Lady B's book and reviewing while I am reading. First off, I love the explanation of how Snape and Dumbles (LMAO) made it back to the land of the living, you did that brilliantly. I expected no less from Snape to have a dig at the Golden Trio as he briefly and abruptly gave his story. I still say that underneath all that gruffness he is a big softie and capable of much love. Dumbledore was, of course, much friendlier and open and apologetic about what he could and couldn't say, again, you captured it perfectly.

Now I hate you for making me cry when Dumbledore explained about forgiveness and then looked at the trio and then DRACO. Oh gawd that spoke volumes to me and I'm so pleased that Draco 'kinda got the message'. Not sure that Ron will though. LOL And how cool that Dumbledore is going to be the DADA prof.

Okay, now what is the deal with Theo? Random comments fill in??? Hmm, not so sure. Very interesting though. Certainly gave both of them food for thought (no pun intended)

Ahh, I guess I was psychic on the attempt of Pansy and Ginny becoming friends. Yay me! LOL Hmmm not so sure about Blaise though, seems he needs a lot of help in seeing people with new eyes although I could appreciate, as he did, Hermione putting him in his place without either of them losing face to do it. I wish he had said 'how SLytherin of you' though. LMAO Funny that a repeat seventh year got to be a head and not a first timer.

And there you go making me feel sad again as Draco and Snape 'talked' to each other. See, Snape's not the total hard hearted bastard he's trying to make everyone believe. LOL And bloody hell you've gone and left another cliffy. Not happy!! LMAO I hope the next update isn't too far away.

Glad you liked the KotRT reference, that's the first thing I thought when I read it. And if I may be so bold as to suggest it, have you considered doing your review replies at the end of your chapter? That way we can see your replies straight away. Of course, if you prefer to lead us to the review list, that's fine too. It is just a suggestion. :)

You are really teasing us, hon. You are so cruel ...lol
Very interesting idea for the return of Sev et Dumby. Are they really alive, in the real meaning of the word? I've never liked Dumby, even not in the 1st book. I'm glad that you gave live to Sev. Is he going to find lovej, too? (I know that this is not the correct version of AFF, but I don't loose anything if I ask, I can only win)
Maybe I'm the only one but I am happy that Lucius is dead. I was quite disaponted that for JKR the whole Malfoy family went out from the war without problems. I belive that everyone should pay for his mistakes.
I really felt sorry for Draco in the last book and your story is giving me the same feeling. But I have the impresion that he hasn't changed a lot and he is very lost. Is he really ready for his second chance?
    I like your Theo :)
    cant wait for Wen. kisses

    ~Chapter 4~

Ooooh Snape's a bit pissy that the Golden Trio left him to die....LOL, its nice to see he is still a snarky git though! =)

Dumbles is right about forgiveness, although he'll need to be forgiven for letting them all think he is dead!! So he's the new DADA teacher? Interesting, and probably a great choice....he knows quite a bit about everything!!

I like that Theo was the one to make the first move with Harry. It shows that the war has made him grow up and the fact that he realized how people look up to Harry is insightful! I could see the bonds of a tentative friendship forming....

Ginny and Pansy...I could see that friendship, Ginny has always been surrounded by her older brothers and i am not sure but I don't think JKR mentioned any close female friends of Pansy or Ginny in the books. Another friendship that could potentially transpire here, and one that would be mutually beneficial I believe.

Oh, Blaise...I like his character, but I wonder why he seems so resistant to Hermione? Perhaps because she is exactly who she portrays herself to be? He seems to be too adjusted to the Slytherin brand of thinking, where everyone was out for themselves and lying was the norm. I hope Hermione can befriend him and show him that there is more to life than judging others before you know them....

So Ron ended up at the table with Draco.....Kudos to this Ron for not taking the mickey out of Draco, and basically just introducing him and leaving him alone. Ah, Snape...couldn't even wait until after the meal to get inside Draco's head. He may be sorry for not telling Draco he was alive, but it doesn't change the fact that Draco apparently feels completely alone (regardless of his friendships with Blaise and Pansy).

What other commotion? You just left it there??? OK....update soon!!! I'm curious to see how you bring this varied group of students together. Oh you said that this story has a sequel....how long is this part going to be?

    Great work!!

Hello tootsie. Thank you. I hope it stays that way.

LadyBlueEyes you are so good at this guessing. lol I will say some of what you speculated about will come up and some will not. *big grin* And, I know what you mean about Dumbles (I like that!!), I cried buckets when he died, but then when the truth came out, I wanted to get him back just to slap him around for using Harry and Snape like that. Hey why didn't Draco know that Severus and Dumbledore were alive? I wonder what is up their sleeves? I always see Snape as reluctantly drawn into Dumbledores schemes because he feels he owes Dumbles for giving him a place at Hogwarts after he left the Dark Lord's service.

I am glad that Harry approached Draco about not fighting, that per haps sets the tone for a bit down the line in situations where Ron and Hermione are involved.

I think it is a bit sad that Draco and Blaise are still in "defense" mode where Pansy is concerned. I mean, I am glad they are protecting their friend but sad that there are others who would be out to get them still! I wonder what that means a few chapters in.....perhaps the Trio gets involved to help protect a slytherin from a death threat? I have no idea what you have planned next but I am greatly looking forward to it!!!!!

    Brilliant work!!!

LOL, well I know what happened to Ginny on the train now. :) I love the idea of them being sat in tables of 12. Almost like the Knights of the Round table, isn't it? :) I see Blaise is a little reluctant to embrace the change but I hope he comes around. Oh and in the official books he quite fancied Ginny even if he swore he'd 'never go there' so that could make things interesting if they're both Heads of the school. ;) I love that Harry tried to make some kind of peace with Draco - that's just so typical of him. And I can't wait to see what Dumbledore and Snape have to say. If I were Harry, Draco, Ron or Hermione etc, I think I'd be mighty pissed off that they were still alive too. Happy that there were alive, of course, but angry and what they had to go through whilst believing them dead. And oh you've got me feeling so sorry for Draco. I hope Pansy strikes up a friendship with Ginny too, I don't think she has many girlfriends to talk to either. Either way, I want more. LOL Oh and I'm pleased you enjoy my comments, one tries. ;) And I'm p-ing myself laughing at LadyV's last comment. LMAO

Uh-oh. So Draco suffered for nothing? Thats friggin just like Dumbledore, the big old tit. Sorry...I rant about him when he pisses me off, but alas I still like him. Poor Draco, Dumbles started this whole thing. I just hope he has a worthwhile explanation for our favourite Malfoy. Because if he doesn't Imma gonna kick his arse!

Loved this chapter doll, looking forward to more!

Hello again Jullsy. Thank you, hon. I hope you like the Pansy in this story. I tried to make her a more real character. And, sorry about Poor Luci. Forgive me? And, when I said the story was going to be different, all I meant was that it was about growth and change in teenagers, not adults. It
