Love the outside scene and the way was written... Also the semi understanding that Draco and Harry have, still confusing for both but in the right direction...

*waves* So.... wow, I'm glad I decided to pop over and check out what you had to remove from the hpff site, it added so much to that scene it was unreal. No wonder what you posted there seemed so short, you had to cut a ton out. It was very well written by the way, excellent job...
    See you on Sunday again!

Well how sweet to do that for Dreamweaver..that was so cute.

Okay seriously, you have a knack for writing -- each chapter seems to have it's own theme. For me this was about opposites coming together - in a way - over a common theme which is friendship and love: Harry and Blaise "bonding" (both care about their friends), Sev/Remus knocking heads together over Harry (both care for Harry), the girls chatting about their friends and how they care for each other, Orla and Blaise as well - Orla cares for Blaise enough to help him and, of course, our lovers (enuf said there) but even there it was about Draco really understanding and caring for Blaise. So beautifully woven together. So beautifully presented on their own merits.

Blaise and Harry wasn't surprising to me - I think this had to happen at some point. They struggle with the changes around them, their best friends feelings for their "enemy" and their own conflicting points of views about the world and the Draco/Hermione. Their internal dialogue must be something like: "Gasp - horror of horrors what if "INSERT DRACO/HERMIONE" really isn't that bad? Gasp - what if "INSERT DRACO/HERMIONE" is really happy and this is their chance at real love? Do I mess it up? Will they hate me? I can't lose them. What do I do?" No one says they need to be buddy buddy but respecting their friend's choice and treating that other individual with the respect they would want is not alot to ask of a best friend. Sigh, their internal angst continues.

I loved the scene with the girls. I love how you gave them their bonding time, just like the guys. I love them talking like, well, girls. Its silly and I enjoy being that fly on the wall listening in. It's also such a wonderful break from the drama - a flutter of funness.

Remus was a bit out of line I felt in attacking Severus. I was kind of in Sev's corner there and felt that Dumbledore should have dressed Remus down a bit for being so rude, condescending and just stupid. Dumbledore did make a good point about unity beginning with the adults and teachers so I hope Remus stops acting like a 6th year wanna-be-marauder and remembers that he is an important and influential figure in Harry's life and should act like a proper role model. Remus should ask himself "what would Lily do?" I think we know the answer to THAT question, especially after all Sev has done for Harry in Lily's name.

I felt that the scene between Orla and Blaise was the most powerful one. Yes, of course, someone got through to Blaise. I loved that and Orla did it so smoothly, intelligently (Ravenclaw) and sharply. She was so clever in the way she did it - she let Blaise teach the lesson to himself rather than lecture him, which wasn't working. She gave him something to think about. However, for me, what was really powerful was Hermione realizing that she was accepted for being a witch but disliked as a person and for her choices. I felt that was eye-opening. Not that Orla didn't appreciate her talent or intellect, no, she doesn't like Hermione for "normal" reasons. I don't think Hermione got that but Draco did. I loved it.

Draco is just getting sexier and sexier and sexier by the chapter. HOT DAMN! The man is a Slytherin and I love this charming, witty and darling man! He loves his witch and can handle her - no really: HE CAN HANDLE HER! I don't think Hermione even realizes that he's doing it - just proves how perfect they are for each other. I also like how you are keeping his character still very canon yet allowing him to develop. His core characteristics haven't changed but he's growing up and maturing. I think when he and Hermione will fight (and they will), instead of ending in a anger rage hexing, they'll end up in a snogging rage feeling up each other - ah passion. I love sexual tension. Really good writing.

PS: did you get that I LOVED this chapter.

Awwwwww what a lovely thing to do. Thank you so much for that little story which I have read over and over, I am positively thrilled that you would do such a thing. Oh if you could only see the smile on my face when I read this. Sending you huggles, cookies, chocolates galore, bubbly and a shopping spree of your choice in thanks. LOL Seriously though, I am touched that you did this. What a pity it's just in his head and Blaise has to walk out of the class without me. LMAO I rather liked your description of me too. :)

Now for the serious stuff - I wondered if Blaise and Harry would realise they had a few things in common, not that I expected them to admit to it. They are surrounded by friends that care about them and yet they still feel so alone. It would have been almost impossible to believe the confession they had just witnessed between two people they thought they knew well and the relationship that they thought they were supposed to have only to discover it's something else they were wrong about. But, and this is something I like about Harry, he gets angry, he lets loose but then he gets over it and deals. He's making an effort to reach out to Blaise, possibly because he knows they have some common ground and maybe because he realises that he's not alone in feeling totally weirded out by the situation.

Having the teachers reflect on the situation was brilliant too. I hope we get to see more into their heads as well (you know how much I love that sort of thing). Hmmm, no love lost between Lupin and Snape, I see and yet, for Dumbledore they'd do anything, wouldn't they?

LMAO on Ginny retelling what happened in class to Pansy. I think that girl needs a little more romance in her life too. She's become so strong and practical and forgotten what it's like to be cherished and supported too. Let's hope Harry cottons on to that too. LOL OMG, I love your Luna and I agree with LBE - she definitely has some kind of second sight or something to come out of her silent contemplativeness and drop the bombshells that she does. And she's always right. Perhaps that is what unnerves everyone else around her??

(Of course Blaise left quickly, he's off making my dreams come true). ;) LMAO

You're testing my memory on Orla but how cool that you could work her into your story. Bah on Bliase for asking her out as a last minute thing though. I guess it's a sign he's coming out of his funk though. Beans and Quirke - LMAO!!!!! And how opportune that Hermione is waiting in the wings to hear an interesting revelation. Another valuable lesson learned by Hermione that people can dislike you for all sorts of reasons that have nothing to do with your background. I don't think Orla really dislikes Hermione herself though, just hates what she perceives to be a waste of talent. But I loved how she managed to turn things around and get Blaise actually defending Hermione for sticking up for what she believes in. He didn't even see that coming. And then for him to see Hermione there - well all I can say is I think we've found Blaise' defining moment. (Obviously again because of his little moment in Potions class, right?) ;) LOL So who is Blaise going to the Ball with?? She never answered him.

Ohhhhhhhhh Draco and Hermione having a private moment, how very delish! LMAO on his take of what she was telling him about Blaise. He did make a few good points though and yes, I can't see Hermione willingly admitting to any of them anytime soon. And then, just as we're getting somewhere interesting - aaaarrrrrrrrrrggggggggggg you bloody finished with a cliffy - damn you, HG4eva!!!!!!!!! LOL

I loved how you used Orla. She's so underused in the books. Yet another instance of expanding the plot and characters in a new and interesting way. :D

I approve wholeheartedly of this entire story! I love it and please update quickly! And please for the love of God, add in some smut soon! Lmao! I do wish that Blaise would find someone to make him happy...And I'm glad that Draco and Hermione are happy with one another...And Quirke's reasons for not liking Hermione? effing priceless! Though the best part? Draco and Hermione being caught, mid mush, by Snape...It was the funniest thing. I giggled my butt off. Lol. Thanks for another great chapter!

YAY...Blaise is finally seeing the light =) Actually the part that got me this chapter was the little scene between Blaise and Harry. I hadn't really thought it thru enough that they were both having the same issues, just coming at them from different angles...(darn hot-headed hotties! - LOL) It makes sense that they would understand each others anger/resentments though I admit to having a touch of the giggles when they were both defending their best friends. I love the way this story is coming around full cirlce and I get the feeling it might be done soon? =( (oh wait...you did mention a sequal! - that makes me happy!)

I love the easy way Draco and Hermione are getting along now, and they are so relaxed together. Luna has always seemed to me to be fey, to have a touch of the sight coupled with some sort of inborn wisdom. She is a complex, interesting character who always seems to have the right thing to say at the right time, though sometimes you wouldn't think so!

    Another brilliant chapter!!! Thank you!!

    Hugs....

I love how you give each group their own time - the boys moment at the top was a great reminder that these friends have been through alot and that they are that - FRIENDS. They need these moments to reconnect and reestablish that link that they've had since they were children. And what's nice is the equal footing they are all on without the threat of a war. Now they can just be guys - I don't think they realize how precious that is but we do relish in it as your readers.

Harry Harry Harry - he and Blaise in the same boat but at differt spectrums. I'm surprised those two gits haven't bonded over their mutual stupidity - though they seem to have Ginny in common. And leave it to Ginny to try and talk sense to Harry but really at some point she's just going to get fed up. What will she do then? More importantly, what will he do when his act gets old? Hermione will not stand for his bullshit any longer....which brings us to that goo-making, body-melting scene between our two protagonists.

Wow - to admit their love like that in front of everyone - that must have been...awkward? But so perfect no? And fitting? They've always had to worry about how everyone would perceive them, Draco especially yet here they are pubically declaring their love and freeing themselves from those final shackles. And everyone else as well because their declaration was a pass for everyone - an allowance if you will - to move on with your life and make good decisions. To relish in your new beginning.

Oh, Draco makes my body melt - just melt and I loved how you wrote it.

If it makes you feel any better I thought I was the one who missed something important, not you. :)

I wonder where these Slytherins keep their alcohol stashed, not exactly something encouraged by the school after all, I'm sure. LOL And LMAO on Greg asking how was things with Hermione. I like that Draco didn't blab about her but for sure he's been talking about others in the past - I'm sure it would have helped greatly with his 'experienced' reputation. Then the conversation grew more serious and Greg asked why they had decided to hate Harry and what a surprise to realise they had no real reason to do so except for the expectations of a child and how easily little things could grow into something far worse.

I'm glad Harry and Ginny are talking. It would be silly if she can be calm and listen to everyone else and not Harry. Don't think I hadn't noticed that Pansy and Ron are having private time in the bedroom either. ;) LMAO Interesting that she chose to make a joke about future children to lighten the mood and that Harry just went along with it. LOL But she certainly said all the right things to him and he 'appears' to have listened. I'm very proud of Ginny. :)

OMG - what are those pair doing and in the middle of Potion's class for Merlin's sake. LMAO It's all so cringeworthy when you're on the oustide listening in but obviously they are both quite happy with the syrupy sweetness. And of course we were all just waiting for the moment that Snape would come over and catch them and let loose a disgusted comment of his own. LMAO Oh to be in the classroom then, ROFL But oh dear, Blaise and Harry weren't too happy with that little declaration of love at all, were they? I really think you should write me into the story so I can keep Blaise distracted/occupied so he doesn't worry about Hermione and Draco. LMAO (kidding)

Good to know my long rambles pay off on occasion and we get more story to enjoy, hey! :) I love your Millie, but of course I love this story so it all adds up wonderfully. :) Therapy for Harry in the official books, I can see that but I also thought he would never settle for a quiet life either. After so much excitement so young, I think a part of that would always stay with him. And kudos to you to have another story waiting in the wings - now I feel slacker than usual for not sitting down more often and writing myself. It's hard when there are so many great stories to read. (But thanks for the review on my Lucius story, I'm pleased you enjoyed it).

Yeah Hermione how was it to kiss the oh-so-hot Draco Malfoy? LOL

Before I say anything I loved how Draco called her "my witch" - that must have just floored Harry. Now onto some thoughts and hopeful insights....

Ginny is getting more and more interesting by the chapter. I've never had a strong feeling for Ginny until this story. I really like her and she's able to really manage going from wise sage with life-altering advice to serious Head Girl to giggling girlfriend. This is how I think I've always wanted to picture her - she's a good blend of her parents and probably a bit wiser being the only female amongst all those brothers.

And again, I just love how you are revealing Draco from the shadows. He's morphing before our very eyes into this very sexy, confident man that is at the ready to defend his girl. He loves treating Hermione like a girl - not a bookworm, like one of the guys, a pal; no he treats her like a delicate feminine creature that has utterly captivated him. And Hermione lets him and loves it. I think part of her has always wanted someone to sweep her off her feet - she's so strong and confident that for someone like Draco to come and knock her off and make her feel slightly unsettled probably leaves her all tingly. He leaves me tingly.

I do like how Harry was handled - he needs to get over this and deal. Ron has and I was really proud of him for doing the right thing instead of siding with Harry. Harry's just being irrational right now. It's not endearing him to anyone. Its hard to have your world tossed asunder but that's what the boy-who-lived-to-beat-Voldemorts-ass was supposed to do. Its because of him that these changes are happening, he should realize that, its something to proud of to instill change in another human being. I think he needs a little dose of his own beliefs.

Can't wait for the next chapter.

PS: I didn't even blink about Greg/Millie, thanks to Dreamweaver for catching as it gave us a mini-chapter.
