Reviews for Struggling Through New Beginnings

Ok...to start...I love how you finally got Draco and Hermione together. It was sweet and awkward with an easily solved misunderstanbing. I was pleased with Ron's maturity (and the way he and Pansy seem to have FINALLY clicked =) Thank You!!!) Thank for that missing chapter.....It really did explain things with Greg and Millicent (Yay...Greg's happy now!! - and I was laughing hysterically over the way Millicent approached him!)

I was glad to see the argument between Harry and Ginny. That too helped explain what happened between them after Harry saw Hermione and Draco snogging in the hallway. I feel bad for Harry, growing up the Dursleys treated him like crap, then he comes to the wizarding world and he is revered for something he had no control over. Its a tough situation to deal with, especially as he had to be the one to save them all as well.

Ah...Professor Snape. He and Harry really do need to talk, and Harry needs to hear the truth about Snape. Not just what was is the memories, but how Snape felty growing up, how the treatment of james Potter and friends felt, and how it comapres in a way to how Draco and Co. would harass Harry and Ron and Hermione. Everything needs to be put out there between them, I bet they'd come to an understanding and a friendship, though I doubt neither would classify it as such - Harry is too stubborn and Snape is too snarky for that! LOL.

    Can't wait for more!!

    Love Lady B*

i feel like i missed something when i read...i never noticed anything missing before you added the 32.5 and now that i read 32.5 i still dont see what was missing...i chap 32 and 33 flowed so well together...but the 32.5 broke it up some...idk...maybe its just me...anyway...loved the chap and loved the 32.5 cause it gave me more to read on the story!

LOL, I thought I stuffed up and missed a chapter and then went and checked out your last chapter to see your note, silly me. Anyways, yay for more reading and for now knowing the whole Greg/Millie story which was awesome. I loved Millie's aggressiveness and her 'let's have at it' attitude and Greg's equally innocent bewilderment. And yeah, I'm really cranky at Harry now that I know Ginny tried to talk to him about things and he still went and acted the way he did when he saw Hermione and Draco kissing.

Another great chapter. Again, kudos on the lovely and deeply complex characterizations you've provided, this time, of Professor Snape. I have liked him since GoF, when I could see the layers of his personality as JKR wrote him. Sad that she didn't continue the complexity with him, or the rest of the Slytherins in DH. Glad you took up the slack. :D

That's kind of sad for Harry to be reacting rather than thinking before he does something. I would have thought he would have learned that by now. I suppose it is Hermione though so there's no real time to think and he would have done just the same if it were Ginny he 'saw without looking' too. Is it wrong of me to be happy that Draco got a punch in too? LOL And I have to laugh at the way Hermione is ripping it up them both for their childish (neanderthal) behaviour. It would have killed both of them to have to apologise to the other but I love that she made them do it. LMAO And the 'sorry to have punched you after you punched me' was a classic.

Sux that the other two guys and gals missed out on their date though because Hermione and indeed Ginny decided to make it a girls only night. I get why they didn't want their boys to come along but it wasn't exactly fair on the others. Oh well, we girls do tend to stick together in these situations, don't we?

Okay, what did I miss? Exactly when did Millie and Greg start with the holding hands part?? Did she just come out and ask him to go out with her after all or did Greg do a Ron and realise she liked him??? I want answers, missy!!!! LOL And OMG I so love Millie right now that she's standing there telling the boys EXACTLY what she thinks even though she got slightly off base on a few important details but got the gist of what happened just the same. I like how you show us there's more to Millie too. :) I love what she said, hey I could hug her for it but I think she might hit me with a left hook for daring to do so. LOL And one more LMAO, I think Millie is going to be wearing the pants in that relationship. Haha!!

Loved the little aftermath the guys, except for Harry, were sharing. At least they are seriously considering what was said to them and were actually listening. And after all that, Snape has to witness Harry being all reflective. (sorry, I punned again). What an interesting conversation and how strange it is that even Snape thinks that Harry won't change. If that doesn't get through to Harry, I don't know what will.

How cool that Alberforth has had a turn around. It explains why they're at the Hogs Head. I did wonder why they were going there. And what a chat they are having, Pansy sure brought some insight into the conversation and then Hermione relented and saw why Harry could be upset and that put all the guilt back on to Ginny (in her own mind). Funny how rational everything becomes once one has calmed down. Still she wants to support Harry and I think that's sweet but the best bit was when Ginny and Pansy were gone and Parvati asked the million dollar question - what was that kiss like???? And you had better tell us. ;) LOL

Well I'm glad I made you laugh to, always good to hear that. :) And yay for the ball but that doesn't help me know what other ideas I might have helped you with. LOL Because I doubt I'm the only one who would be happy for hundreds more pages of story. :)

This is off to an amazing start! I love the twist of the focus on Pansy. I also greatly appreciate your style of writing: very solid, flows well, and sentences (and words) are chosen appropriately. Looking forward to reading this all morning!

LMAO - I'm sure Draco is very pleased he finally got that word in. And how sweet that they are practising Charms together - practically ALONE! LOL Arrgg I want to smack Hermione for comparing herself to Lavender but I like that she got her message across to Draco even if it bewildered him for a while. And finally - a kiss. :) And I think he was agreeing with her that the kiss was fantastic, not making out that he was a fantastic kisser. And bam, right away the doubts set in. (sigh - young love)

Kudos for Hermione for wanting to get right back in there and have another one. *evil grin* And I think I'm going to love how she won't get too many sentences out without him kissing her again. Confessing the state of his innocence however, she certainly didn't see that coming (if you'll pardon the pun) LOL And it's true, he would have been far too busy with other things, other worries and doubts to be canoodling in the broom cupboards. He so has to make up for lost time, doesn't he? Heh heh!! And so does she.

LMAO again at Hermione getting in there and playing the game - now that the sexual tension has dissipated indeed - the little liar. And she got caught out to, didn't she? LOL He might not have gone all the way but he certianly had time for a little - research shall we say. :) Of course I'd be happy to help him study up, of course.

Bloody hell, do all Hermione's friends have a 'interrupt Hermione' buzzer on them somewhere??? Sheesh!! And OMG how embarrassing for all four of them considering their history together. LOL And there goes Ron thinking all mature like again. He can have a big hug for that. :) And yeah, though it is a sad thought, they have moved on and left a part of their childhood behind them. What a great dolt Draco is, has he regressed where Ron has matured?? I suppose though, he's scared and worried too and having his self doubts but thank goodness Hermione made him speak about it and they didn't just seperate with silly misunderstandings and resentments hovering over their heads. And yayness, I want to get to that ball and read about them all dancing together. (le sigh) LMAO

No, I'm not in your head, I just like the way you think. :) Except when you make me cry, of course. And I see what you mean about Hermione's need to well I'd say help things rather than fix them but I'm sure we're thinking along the same lines. LOL And I made you feel sad over the whole Teddy scene - well good - it's about bloody time. ;) LOL Oh and I loved Margaritama and Kazfeist's last comments, totally agree. And I hope bLondpierogi is on the mend soon too. :)

I'm so glad you updated. I love their first kiss, and the fact that Hermione wouldn't let Draco persist in his misconception. So much heartache can be avoided if only the folks involved communicate with each other honestly and caringly, if not lovingly. Right? Can't wait for the next chapter. :D

Ok first off, sorry because I think I missed Chapter 33 somehow but I caught up and commented. Now chapter 34, well my insides where churning as Draco was thinking: "He was kissing Hermione Granger", I was thinking "Hermione and Draco are kissing - YAH!".

I think that was so lovely and sweet and tender and so funny - the oomphs were perfect. I can totally see Draco's anticipation being too much and him just kissing her. He is still very domineering after all. And wait, a VIRGIN? DRACO? Well, judging by that second time the boy seems to know what he's doing so care to explains (she writes as she raises an eyebrow at your direction)?

I loved Hermione's outburst - weeks of being goo got to her it was quite clear. I'm sure Draco thought she was slightly mad for a moment. And despite her breakdown and admission about her feelings for him, he was still so insecure that I felt a big ole lump in my throat. I'm so glad Hermione didn't let it go and pursued him until she made him tell her what was wrong - okay so she figured it out but still. I think she will be so good for him, especially when it comes to talking things out - Draco suppresses so much that eats away at his soul. Hermione is going to make him deal with how he feels and, horror, talk about it. Maybe not with everyone else but with her.

I adored that little speech before their last oomph, she really sidled up to him the minx. Hmm, I see she's a bit bolder than what we thought but I still think he's going to rock her world - and explain that V comment. Since she's the VP - does that make him a VP (virgin prince) also?

Thank you for that additional glimpse of Ron/Pansy - I think this was another moment for Ron to realize that Draco isn't that bad and that he's in the exact same boat with another name (Pansy) so who is he to judge.
