Ha ha ha, got to love the headspin that Hermione is in knowing that Draco 'chose' her dress. I can't wait to 'see' his face when he sees her coming down the stairs. And what a lovely father/daughter moment too. And he put his fears to rest very elequently as he told her what he thought of the whole Draco situation and indeed if any man should dare to harm his 'little girl' again.

The 'ball' sounds wonderful too, I wish I was right there partying too only I might have influenced the story too much. ;) LOL And there you go, Hermione's realised just how high a pedestal Pansy has put her on, too. And I liked that Luna knew she belonged to the group. I'm glad she finally felt she belonged somewhere too. Oh what a reaction she got from Draco, I was right on the steps with that one and I don't need Legilmency to know what he and indeed she were thinking right then. Heh heh!

Uhoh, what's with Pansy and the drinking? Where's that coming from? Obivously it's not the first time she's drunk enough to make a fool of herself if Greg's come over to keep an eye on her. Oh this is a worry. Mmm close enough to feel the heat between them - oh yeah, baby!! LOL And you gotta love Ginny's 'subtle' escape too. And oh the whole conversation between them and the dancing and where he put his hands, I'd swoon if I wasn't afraid to fall off my chair. LOL

Bloody Hell Harry - Piss Off and let them dance for goodness sake!!! What? He didn't hear me? Well sorry Ginny but I might just have to hex your butthead boyfriend. LOL But you made up for it by having Ron realise Draco really cares for her and for them all to give him the green light if he wanted to pursue Hermione as well as a warning for what would happen if things went badly. And awwwwwwww again for the almost hugging moment. (sigh)

Finally (gulps because she knows there are four chapters to catch up on) I can rabbit on. LOL I would love to have seen the purebloods' faces when they went bowling. And I'm annoyed at Lavender too even though I know she thinks she's doing the right thing. I thought it was cool that Pansy calmed herself by thinking 'what would Hermione do' and remembering something the witch she admires said. It's interesting to see how she and Draco saw for the first time what the Weasley family was like and how different it was from their own. And what an awwweeee moment for Greg when he realised he had friends too.

And another awwwweeee moment for Ron's birthday speech for Hermione at the Grangers house! LOL Very sweet. And hey, no making this reader cry!!!! LOVE what her dad said too (apart from the crying, that is)

Love Millie's comment about the muggle made food. LOL Looks like she's slowly starting to bring down the wall she hides behind too. LMAO at everyone's reactions to Draco admitting he'd been reading about Hermione. I thought there were supposed to be secrets at Hogwarts, clearly Draco's feelings for Hermione isn't one of them. I liked the family tradition of passing down the house to the oldest daughter too, about time people realised having a daughter is a worthwhile thing too!!!!

LMAO - of the issue of the teeth - I can so picture Draco squirming in his chair over that one at the remembered thought. And I'm still wondering how they managed to fit so much into a single day - there wasn't a time turner around by any chance??? LOL And Hermione sure cleaned up with the birthday presents, didn't she? I have a feeling being allowed to use muggle technology in her room is going to come back into play further down the track (all puns intended). ;)

Oh I love Hermione's dress and the idea of the Coming Out Ball too, I say again, how did they fit all this into one day? LOL Hmmm, it was Draco's idea for that dress huh, I wonder what he'd choose for me? *evil grin* And aww again at the look Harry was giving Ginny. :)

Yep, I totally get Molly, she's fierce but loving and more importantly she admits when she's wrong (eventually). LOL And yes, I suppose I can wait a little longer for more fiesty scenes but I am enjoying the romance even if that's not normally a me thing to do.

Oh, I didn't expect that Draco will be so shy and romantic with the rose :). I liked it. But I should say that my romantic nature is still not satisfied lol

Lovely chapter. I'm glad Blaise will start to heal, now. Have I said before how much I love your Ginny? In so many Dramione fics, she's one-dimensional: either a jealous, obsessive harpy or an enamoured, pregnant, Harry-acolyte. Here, she's realistic enough that I want to have lunch and take in a movie with her on Girls' Night Out. :D

Dammit! Found a typo and a grammar glitch (and I'd read it twice, before, too!). In the most recent one, you've got 'decent' where you meant to have: descent (Hermione going down the stairs). And you've got 'Ginny's and Parvati's faces was neutral'. I know you meant 'were neutral'. You actually could have had: the look on Ginny and Parvati's faces was neutral. I bet you were thinking of the one and typed the other. I normally wouldn't have put this in a public post, but AFF.net doesn't allow Private Messages, as far as I can tell.

Gah... password problems kept me from reviewing your last installment. But what I was going to say still applies - I love your Draco. He makes me very happy.

Also, have you ever read shoujo Manga? (romance graphic novels from Japan or Korea) In my YA literature class (though it applies to adult lit too) we talked about the difference between American comics and Asian comics and one of the textbooks showed how American comics were all about action, jumping from one scene to the next to propel the story forward with very few breaks. Manga, on the other hand, focuses on emotions and character development by using lots of "spacer" frames, like a movie that sets the scene by looking around the room or zoomign out on a lone figure or just showing a face that's staring off into space and not "doing" anything.

You're quite good at that kind of pacing: at the parties I can "see" the flurry going on in the background, but appreciate the moments you give each character to experience the effects of all this activity emotionally and socially. Like Pansy watching the relationships among the Weasleys even when she gets attacked, or Draco getting his confidence and insecurities all tangled up in awkward combinations with Hermione's dad... it's SO delicious...

I've told you before I anticipate your stories hungrily, wish every chapter were longer, and would love to see you get things published so I could support this craving more directly. And of course these chapters always make me smile like a giddy madwoman... not much point in saying it again, but, yeah, you've still got it. :)
