This chapter was quite a turning point in their relationship. I loved how Severus snarked and growled while secretly drinking in Helena's attention.

There was so much to love about this chapter. Burbage was really a nice touch with her breezy counter-point to Snape's somber presence. Write more and soon. That is my command.

No yelling. It was worth the wait. I love how the dynamic shifted between Helena and Snape in this chapter. It was nice to see each of them in their own environment. You made them shine.

That being said, please tell me you're already working on the next chapter. I really love this story.

sorry but I have taken Stockholm down for the time being. I just don't feel the 'ness that I usually do.I may come back to it another time, but for now, i despise it for being a lame duck.

so glad you updated again! really enjoying, not only the delicious treasing of a potential friendship with Severus, but also Helena's personality and the trials she goes through to discover about her brother's secret life, and 'headshrinking' of a magical psychopath. phew!

Only one minor downside: Incorporated is a mainly american business term I believe. From what I remember in business class in school, UK companies with shareholders are either Ltd. (private limited companies) or PLC. (public limited companies)

Hopefully more updates to Ss soon, but I am having creative difficulties in reconciling sev and sam's situation with archetypical death eater/cult/psycho behaviour for an upcoming Dark scene I am trying to plot out.

Whoo Hoo! A new chapter and I didn't even have to beg much. I really, really, really enjoyed the chapter. I'm glad that Snape and Helena finally made a connection. I hope this means more interaction between them and for what it's worth, sexual tension would be nice too.

I love the elderberry wine reference, but I wonder, does Helana's mother have any cute, rodentiform tendencies? Sorry, Monty Python was the first thing that came to mind with that wine. My dad used to make wine too. He tried to make elderberry wine, but ended up picking Rhus glabra (not the poison sumac, but sumac nonetheless) the wine he made from that made him terribly ill. His other experiments went better, but watermelon wine was a bust, and so was orange wine. We used to feed the dregs to our pigs. That was informative, if you can imagine a bunch of drunken pigs running around fighting over, well, anything.

If you are going to take off for books, the Stackhouse books are the way to go. You need to check out A.Lee Martinez. He's ridiculously funny, and kind of has your sense of humor. I can't put his books down.

Lucius is still pouting, so no more on his dream home, but I will have a chapter up for Yblah in the next few days.

Thanks for the update. I hope to see more soon.

You aren't so bad, really.I'm terribly greedy for reviews, especially as I don't really get many either.:)
I have been rather busy lately, writing for all of my stories, and reading has taken a back seat.

I liked how you characterised Severus' mental summary of the events to date and his appreciation of Dr Nyx beginniong to appear. bofore now it would be easy to assume that he completely despised her and her continued poresence but I can imagine how beautiful her manifestation must have been to behold, and then afterwards,well.. he IS only a man after all. ;)

I can't wait to see how her invitation of a drink pans out. could be the beginning of a truce and a friendship perhaps? I shall wait and see.

There's so much in this chapter to love, that I'm afraid I'll leave something out.

Severus' thoughts about the trinity in which he is embroiled was very nice. Jung would have applauded you for that little analysis. I really was glad to see that Snape wasn't angry with Helena, but at the situation in which she found herself. I love it when authors make Snape's actions open to interpretation, and unclear to the other characters. It's just more real.

I loved the Acromantula fear that Hagrid put in Helena. I have to agree with her, huge spiders are not on my list of things that I want to make pets. Hagrid's nurturing of Aragog was one of those things that I had to think about, before I could forgive him. Come on... Spiders? Cute and sweet? Nah.

The scene with Poppy was funny, especially the mental image Helena supplied herself. I was giggling right along with her. Tell me, is Helena going to show Snape Men in Black? Just a question that needs answering.

Thanks for the lightning fast update.

OH, and I won't know about how I did in the contest until sometime next week. And don't worry about your review. Umbridge is one of those characters that has no redeeming qualities at all. I just chose her to make my life especially difficult.

great chapter. I'm glad you managed to update, I know how real life can make it hard to write, even when you want to.

btw: thanks for reviewing Stockholm Syndrome so faithfully!!

How could anyone not love "Immigrant Song"? I mean really. Zep is the best band ever followed by Tull, Iggy Pop, The Sex Pistols. LOL. Guess Flitwick should be happy they weren't into punk, huh?

Great chapter. I was wondering when Helena was looking at the picture, if she would see Snape. I really would like to hear his thoughts on her at this juncture, but a one shot might be asking for too much. A girl can dream.

Thanks for the update. I really missed this story.

I'm glad you posted again. I've missed your stories. it's easy to forget that Hagrid's education, or lack thereof, isn't common knowledge. But when the true story is told to Helena, this is bound to be another enlightening piece of the Riddle puzzle. I hope she gains more confidence in her abilities, but I'm glad she had gained enough to use her Pyromancy for her own purposes so far.

Yay! I'm glad to see that you are back. I missed this story.

Loved the letter from Mum. It was just what Helena needed to ensure she remains safe. Will Snape ever let up on her or will he make such a complete ass of himself that she has to take matters into her own hands and prank him (or snog him, whichever is more fun.)

Thanks for the chapter and the update alert. I hope others who read will review so I can see more of this story.

    LMAO!! Arseface Malfoy!!!! heheheheheh

Really love how Helena reacted. I don't think I could have held on as long as she did. I love that , albeit secretly, Sev's on the Nyxes' side on this one.

I'm right there with the laughing about Malfoy's butt head. The whole scene when Helena went to the office was not what I expected, and I'm sure it's not what Snape did either. I'm glad she could catch him off guard. I recommeneded your WIB story to a yahoo group. I hope you get some readers from that.
