I wondered how you were going to work that. out of curiosity, what punishment did har get? I know it would have been a loss of privileges one.
I'm also glad those kids got punished... i mean that was just stupid. If dumbles wanted to influence har 'towards the light', he sure chose badly.
I'm glad luc managed to block the idea of direct contact with Dementors... I've always felt having them near the kids was stupid AND dangerous. I'm amazed he let Mooney back though the rest of the staff changes have the thumbs up.
Good idea with the classes too. if they all know where each other is coming from there will be far less opportunity for misunderstands. You'll always have die hards but at least they can't claim ignorance.
Oh, My, the introduction of siri to har's life will be like a big stone in a small puddle. Logical, the man is not. He can't argue with the care har is getting at home though. I imagine he'll find har a bit of a disappointment but I'm sure he'll cope.

nifty. the majority of the biggles books were a good read.
well, that was certainly dramatic but I guess it wasn't to much of stretch to go from faking blowhard to peddo. I hope those kids get counseling. what was done to them no child should have to endure and just because he healed them and took the memory does NOT make it no harm, no foul.
Things a tipping further and further in har's favour which makes me think that they're due for a shake up sometime soon ish. Dumbles isn't going to just let things lie.
I wonder though, considering who contributes more to Minister in donations (bribes) who would have the more sway with him. A disenfranchised ex headmaster or Lord Malfoy, who he's had in his pocket for years. Besides, think of the bad PR that would happen if har were to leave and he would if Fudge for brains were allowed free reign. After all, it was the bad word of BWL that put the final kibosh on Dumbles. Damn, it does leave him time to plot with snape though, never a good thing.

So i just thought i would mention that i really like how when you switch scenes you have the date and where they are. It definitely helps clear up any confusion I might have had and helps so that you know how much time has passed.

I know I just posted, but after reading a few of the reviews, I felt I had to stick my 2 knuts in. If children are raised with individuals who first, do not speak down to a child and second, treat the child not as a little adult but as a person with views opinions and some maturity, it will rub off on the child. Case in point, the explanation of logic to Harry and Hermione. I had to google Biggles as well, and he is private investigator of some kind and his friends do assist him on cases. All of them take the time to explain things to Harry in mature fashion, using language he would understand. Also, they have been helping him with muggle education the same way Amelia assists with wizarding education. Also, Harry is being educated to prepare him to be the head of house Potter so it is natural that he would be more mature than the average 11 or 12 year old. As for the men "sitting around", well Biggles is still seeing clients, they have social lives (attending the theatre) and Biggles still has a pilot's license, taking Harry flying on his birthday. Also take age into consideration, sounds as though all of these men are at least at retirement age, so sitting about the parlor during the day may be logical. All in all, I wish I had seen Biggles, I do like detective dramas and so far, it is a well written story. Only complaint is that the chapters are too short (or maybe I read too fast!).

once again a rather un dramatic ending to things... i'm glad the trio had a teacher they can trust to go to. har is learning he doesn't HAVE to take care of everything himself.

It would seem team Har has another supporter now if only marginally.

i wonder if they could get Lockheart dismissed for incompetence.

I agree with unneeded that everything can be rationalized away, but I do still feel that my points are valid. Again, I meant no offence and will continue to read this story anyway.
