This was an excellent chapter. I hope that Severus will prove to Hermione that he truly cares for her and isn't using her. I can't wait to read the next chapter.

I can not tell you how mad I was when I got to the end of chapter 8 in this story. Not because this was bad, but because the story was getting so good. Very well done. The only thing that I can say is watch how often you use discriptive language, like Snapes curtin like hair (I'm not quoting so I hope i'm close enouph for you to get what I mean). That would be it though. Great job with the characters!

I'm mid way through what you've written and I must say, I find your story oddly affecting. What I like most about it is, I think, the way you've captured Hermione. She isn't the strident over-confident bossy girl found in many fics, nor is she a total wuss. Your Hermione reads like a book-smart inexperienced 18 year old who is neither overcome with lust for her professor (at least, not where I am in the story) nor is she abnormally infatuated or disgusted with him.
