This story looks like a good read, but I've gotta point out a few technical issues. In your list of bad guys, Khmer Rouge was the movement. Pol Pot was the name of the mass-murdering fuckhead (to quote Eddie Izzard). Also, and this is a big one, the word is "expatriate". Please please please go back and fix this.

So far I like it...one little nitpick....sorry....In chapter 1 you listed a bunch of tyrants: Hitler, Stalin etc... you listed Khmer Rouge, as well. Khmer Rouge was the name for the communist party in Cambodia- it's not a person... I believe you were thinking of Pol Pot the most famous party leader/dictator of the Khmer Rouge
