Hermione felt herself let out a breath of relief when she entered the dorm room she now shared with Draco, and the place seemed deserted. The door to the bathroom was wide open, indicating that he was no longer in the shower, and she didn't hear any movement coming from his room.
She quickly went to her room and changed, hoping that she would be lucky enough not to run into him on her way out of the dorm. Luck was on her side, as she was able to get out of the dorm without running into Draco, which she was more than thankful about. She was embarrassed about him walking in on her in the shower. She couldn't believe that he had actually done it. If she hadn't been in so much shock, Hermione would have been a lot angrier than she was.
Hermione said the password to the Gryffindor common room and spotted Ron, Ginny, and Harry sitting on the red couches around the fireplace. She made her way over to them, a genuine smile on her face. She forgot how much she loved being in their company, it made her feel safe, and she always had a good time with them.
"Hermione" Ginny said waving, a smile on her face in greeting.
"Hey Ginny, Harry, Ron" Hermione said smiling, taking a place on the couch across from the three of them.
"So I've been informed that we are all going to Hogsmeade today?" Harry asked.
"That's what I've been told" Hermione said looking over at Ron.
"Oi! I thought it would be fun if the four of us all hung out and got away from the school for the day."
"Sounds good to me, I'm in" Ginny said smiling.
"Yeah sure, I'm in" Harry said.
"Sweet, then let's go let McGonagall know that we are leaving" Ron said as he got up and headed towards the door, the other three following suit.
After receiving the okay from McGonagall to go to Hogsmeade, the four of them found an empty carriage and claimed it before anyone else could.
"Still think these things are creepy" Ron said as he sat down next to Hermione.
"Well at least now I'm not the only one who can see them." Harry stated.
"On a happier note, we have the next two days off to do whatever we want!" Ginny exclaimed.
"Well, besides Hermione having to do her Head Girl duties and patrolling rounds" Ron said bitterly.
"I think it's amazing that our Hermione got the position of Head Girl" Harry said smiling enthusiastically at her. "Although, pretty sure the entire school already knew that you were the one who was going to get it."
"Oh stop" Hermione said blushing.
"It's true Hermione, you're the smartest witch at this entire school, probably at any of the wizarding schools around the world, it only made sense that you would be the Head Girl" Ginny stated.
"Well, I was still surprised when I got chosen, and I was extremely happy nonetheless."
"What did your mom and dad say?" Ginny asked.
"Well, they didn't exactly understand the meaning behind it, but I tried to explain it to them the best that I could. They know that I was given a position with authority over the students in the school, and they were proud of me even though they don't understand the logic behind it. They support me no matter what."
"That's awesome Hermione" Harry said smiling.
"Yeah, it's great. Did you happen to mention who the Head Boy was?" Ron asked.
"I didn't tell them who it was, just that it was another student from the school who was given the position. I don't want to worry them any more then possible. They worry about me enough as it is."
"So they've heard of Malfoy?" Ginny questioned.
"I may have brought his name up a few times in front of them. Obviously with nothing nice to say, so I didn't want to let them know he was the Head Boy, and who I was going to be working with for the school year. It's better off them not knowing."
"So you're lying to them?" Ron stated flatly.
Ginny shot her brother a questioning look.
"I'm not lying to them, just not telling them the whole truth."
"Same thing" Ron stated.
"We're here" Harry said, cutting off any comment Hermione was about to make.

Draco was in a bad mood. After he had come to the conclusion that the previous night was indeed reality and not a nightmare, he had gotten out of bed to discover that the pain of his existence was using his shower. He knew that the two of them were now sharing a room, and whatever was his was hers when it came to the amenities, but he didn't care. He was there first, and he wanted her to know that he still had control over the living arrangements and situation. So, what did he do, he stormed in on her in the shower, forcing her to leave. Had Draco not been so disgusted by her or hate her as much as he did, he would have come to realize how beautiful the naked girl in front of him actually was. But, as it was, he didn't even take a second glance at her, he just merely wanted the shower, and he knew she would get out when he stormed in.
After she left, the scent of her had lingered in the shower, much to his disgust. She smelled like vanilla, which Draco came to discover was the scent of body wash that she used. After showering quickly so he could get away from the smell of her, he found himself wandering the corridors of the school aimlessly. This only infuriated him further, as he wasn't the type of person to wander without a purpose, but he needed to get away from the dorm room. He didn't want to run into Hermione again any time soon. And this was how he found himself entering the Slytherin common room, and seeking the company of his Mudblood loving best friend. He spotted Blaise in the corner, talking with Pansy.
Draco rolled his eyes. Pansy was one of the most annoying people Draco had ever met, next to the Golden Trio. She was clingy, and her voice was too high pitched and drove him insane. The only time he actually liked her, was when the two of them were sleeping together, or she was pleasuring him. Then he didn't have to listen to her rattle on about anything and everything in hopes of getting his attention.
Pansy's eyes lit up when she saw him, she sent him a huge smile. Draco nodded at her in acknowledgement. Upon seeing the look on Pansy's face, Blaise had turned to look in his direction.
Draco strutted over towards them, and sat down across from them.
"Hi Draco" Pansy purred.
"Pansy" Draco said.
"What brings you here Draco?" Blaise asked.
"Am I not allowed to come and hang out with my best friend?" Draco asked feigning innocence.
"You know you are welcome to come and hang out whenever you want, but you don't. So, what do you want?" Blaise asked.
"To talk" Draco stated, surprising even himself.
"What do you want to talk about Draco" Pansy asked, seductively.
"Not with you Pansy, with Blaise. Now leave" Draco said waving his hand at her, dismissing her.
Pansy stood up, and leaned down in front of Draco, giving him a full view down her top.
"If you get bored later, you know where to find me" Pansy whispered before winking and walking away.
"Why don't you just tell her to leave you alone if she annoys you so much?" Blaise asked as Pansy walked away.
"What would I do if I was bored?" Draco drawled lazily.
Blaise rolled his eyes.
"So what do you want to do?" Draco asked Blaise.
"Oh, so we're on speaking terms again and you actually want to converse with me?"
"We always have been on speaking terms, I just needed to make sure that my opinion on the whole matter was expressed. I'm choosing to ignore the fact that you have chosen to associate with that Mudblood, and that I've come to the conclusion that it's because somebody slipped you an 'I love Mudbloods' potion, or you've temporarily gone insane."
"I don't know why you feel the need to insult her all the time, even when she's done nothing to you. If that's the reason you came here to talk then I'm leaving." Blaise said standing up.
"I did come here to talk to you about something concerning her, although to my displeasure it's not about her lack of blood status."
"Is she okay?" Blaise asked immediately.
Draco raised an eyebrow at the immediate concern in Blaise's voice.
"She's fine, now. She's actually living with me now, which is why I came to talk to you."
"What do you mean she's living with you? The Head Boy and Girl are forbidden to share a common room."
"I am aware of that, however, Dumbledore has moved her into my dorm" Draco said disgustedly.
"What? Why would he order that? He knows the two of you absolutely despise one another.."
"Like I know. But you can't mention to anyone that she is now living with me. I wasn't even supposed to tell you."
"You're hiding something. I've known you my entire life Draco, and I know when you are lying or twisting truths. Now spit it out, I want the actual story."
"Even I don't know what's going on completely. All I know is that she was attacked g during patrolling and lots of dark magic was involved, and Dumbledore feels that she is not safe living in a dorm by herself."
"What do you mean she was attacked during patrolling? Where were you?" Blaise asked suddenly.
"We decided to separate and patrol individually. It's quicker and covers more ground. And I didn't want to spend any more time in her presence then absolutely necessary."
"So you decided to play a joke on her?" Blaise snapped angrily.
"What?" Draco asked confused.
"You tell her to split up, and then decide it's funny to attack her? Even I thought that below you Draco."
Draco's eyes darkened.
"Regardless of my hate for that Mudblood or not, I would never attack someone who didn't see it coming, especially a girl. I have never, nor will I ever lay my hands on a girl, regardless of how much I despise that person."
"We both know that you are capable of using more dark magic then anybody here at this school" Blaise stated.
"Of course I am. Which is why I wouldn't go around flaunting it stupidly by attacking the Head Girl of all people, who is loved by pretty much everyone at this damn school. Regardless of how much I think she deserves it for being such a know it all and smart-ass like she is, I was not the person who attacked her. As bad of a person that you believe I am, that is one thing I would never do."
"I never said.." Blaise started.
"Zabini, let's not lie to one another. You automatically assumed I was the one who attacked her once you heard dark magic was involved, which further proves of how you think of me."
"Your past doesn't exactly help you."
"Have I ever in my past laid a hand on a woman? No I have not. I am not my father" Draco said darkly.
"I never once said you were your father" Blaise stated immediately.
"Whatever."
"Why did you come here to tell me that Hermione was living with you if you weren't supposed to tell anyone?"
"Because when do I ever listen to what that crackhead says. And I thought you would like to know."
"Well I am glad that you told me."
"Whatever. Just don't open your mouth and let that slip to anyone, not even the Mudblood."
"You know I won't."
"Which is why I told you. I need to be able to complain to someone when she gets on my nerves, which is going to be 24/7."
"Drake, you should take this as an opportunity to get to know her, maybe you will realize she's actually not that bad."
"And this is when I make my leave. It's been a pleasure as always" Draco said standing up and leaving the Slytherin dormitories.

Hermione let out a deep breath as she took in the familiar scent of brand new books. She had split up from the other three, and had made her way over to the bookstore, which was obviously her favourite place in Hogsmeade. There was no better smell to her then a brand new book. There was also nothing that relaxed her more than being surrounded by paperback novels and textbooks of all kinds. She loved reading and just losing herself to another world, leaving whatever troubles or worries she may have behind her while she lived and experienced everything the people in the novels did. It was refreshing to experience things from another persons point of view compared to your own all the time.
She walked down the aisles, trailing her hands along the spines of all the books as she read the labels. One book caught her eye, and she pulled it off the shelf and opened it up and scanned through some of the pages.
She was reading a particularly interesting paragraph when she felt goosebumps raise up on her arms, and she shivered involuntarily. She could feel someone watching her. She looked around nervously, trying to spot something. When unsuccessful, she but the book back and started walking down the aisle she was in, as quickly as she could without sprinting. She was headed towards the exit, back towards Harry, Ron, and Ginny, when she rounded a corner and ran into something solid.
She was about to let out a loud scream until someone covered her mouth, silencing her.
"Calm down Mudblood, it's just me" Draco stated, seeing Hermione's chest rising and falling rapidly.
Hermione closed her eyes for a moment, and calmed her breathing.
Draco removed his hand from her mouth, and wiped it off onto his pants.
"Why were you practically running down the aisle of bookshelves like a mad woman?" Draco asked.
"I needed to get away" Hermione stated.
"From?" Draco asked quirking an eyebrow. "Was Weasley trying to make out with you behind one of the bookshelves?"
"Ron isn't even here Malfoy" Hermione stated angrily.
"True, why would he be in a bookstore, it's not like he can read."
"Oh, honestly" Hermione said pushing past him.
Draco grabbed onto her arm, stopping her.
"What Malfoy?" Hermione asked annoyed.
"What were you running from?" he asked, not knowing why.
"I don't know okay? I just had the feeling that I was being watched. It's the same feeling I had when we were patrolling, so I didn't want to stick around and see if the same thing would happen."
Draco automatically looked up and scanned around the bookstore, his eyes searching intently. After concluding there was nothing that seemed out of place, he looked back down at Hermione.
"So you think you're being followed?"
"I'm guessing so. I just don't know by who or why. This feeling just comes over my body, and I know that they're close by and watching me. I can't describe it, it's like a huge warning signal, I feel goose bumps raise on my arms, and I get a chill run through my body, and then I can just feel the person watching me" Hermione said, tears springing to her eyes.
"What would anyone want with you?" Draco asked confused.
"I don't know Malfoy, nor do I want to find out."
"Why would Potter and Weasley leave you alone after what's happened?" Draco inquired.
Hermione's cheeks flushed and she looked down.
"You haven't told them" Draco realized.
"No, I haven't" Hermione snapped.
"Well that explains it. If they had known, they would be glued to your side every waking minute."
"Which is exactly why I haven't told them anything Malfoy. Harry already has enough to worry about, without me adding this onto his plate. And I don't need Ron playing the overprotective boyfriend, he would drive me insane."
"The Weasel can drive anyone insane."
"Just don't bring anything up in front of them okay? I'll tell them when I need to, but I don't want them worrying about me all the time. Plus, if they found out they would insist on walking me to my room every night, and it would be a little hard to explain why I wasn't staying in my dorm anymore.."
Draco hadn't thought about that. Having Harry and Ron knowing about what was happening would only make them become even more annoying, and they would definitely insist on walking Hermione to her room every night, which was now in his dorm. And with Dumbledore not wanting anyone to know where she was staying, that would ruin that entire agreement, although Draco had already told Blaise, not that anyone knew.
"See?" Hermione said acknowledging his silence as him agreeing with what she was saying.
"Do you still feel like you're being watched?" Draco asked, changing the subject.
Hermione, realizing the feeling had disappeared said "No.."
"You're deep in thought about something Granger."
"I just realized that whenever I run into someone the feeling goes away. It just so happens that you're the person I always run into, and then when I go to think about it again, the feeling is gone. Like the person disappeared or something."
"They're scared to face me, not that I blame them. I am an extremely powerful wizard after all, it makes sense as to why I would scare them away."
"You are so into yourself, did you know that?"
Draco's response what cut off.
"Oi! Get away from Hermione you slimy git!"
Hermione and Draco both turned to look at the red head who was now making his way down the aisle towards them.
"Looks like The Weasel came to save the day" Draco said before disappearing down another aisle.
Hermione turned to look over her shoulder and he was gone.
"Hermione are you okay?" Ginny asked as the three of them stopped in front of her.
"Yeah I'm fine."
"What did Malfoy want?" Harry asked.
"Was he hurting you?" Ron asked angrily.
"No he wasn't hurting me Ron. And we were just discussing some Head's duties."
"In a bookstore in Hogsmeade?" Harry asked not convinced.
"We happened to run into one another, and I wanted to confirm with him something that Dumbledore told us. No big deal" Hermione said shrugging her shoulders, making herself sound indifferent to the matter.
"Why would he disappear like a coward then if nothing was going on?" Ron asked accusingly.
"Probably because he knew that if he didn't leave, he would have been attacked by the likes of you three" Hermione stated losing patience.
"Let's go get some butterbeer" Ginny stated suddenly.
Hermione smiled at Ginny appreciatively, silently thanking her for changing the subject before it got ugly.
"That sounds wonderful Ginny, lead the way" Hermione said linking her arm through Ginny's.
The two of them left the bookstore, Harry and Ron following behind, the conversation about Malfoy forgotten.
They found a booth towards the back, and headed towards it claiming the seats before anyone else could. Since it was the weekend, Hermione spotted other students sitting around the Three Broomsticks enjoying butterbeer with friends. She slid into the booth, Ron beside her, and Harry and Ginny across from her. Hermione was daydreaming, not really paying any attention to what the other three were saying. They had indulged in a conversation about Quidditch, something that held no interest to Hermione.
She felt Ron shift beside her, and she looked over at him. He was staring at something, and Hermione averted her eyes to see what he was looking at. She registered what it was, and scowled.
Lavender Brown.
Hermione knew that Lavender still had the hots for Ron, and she had always thought that he might have still held some feelings towards her also, but he had continuously assured her that he didn't. Right now however, Hermione was not so sure. Ron had an expression on his face that was hard to read. Lavender's face however, was extremely easy to read. Her infatuation with him was written all over her face, along with something else. If Hermione didn't know any better, she would say lust.
Hermione elbowed Ron, bringing his attention back to her, and he jumped slightly, before he turned and looked at her.
"What?" Ron asked innocently.
"Why were you staring at Lavender?" Hermione asked, keeping her tone even.
"I wasn't" Ron said quickly.
"Kiss me" Hermione said suddenly.
"What?" Ron asked bewildered.
"Kiss me."
"Why?"
"I'm your girlfriend, does it matter why I want to kiss you?"
"I didn't think you were into PDA" Ron said slowly.
"Oh for heavens sake!" Hermione whispered before putting her hands on either side of Ron's head, before she pulled him towards her and kissed him fiercely. When she pulled back, Ron's ears were red. She looked over at Lavender, who narrowed her eyes at Hermione.
Ron turned and looked at Lavender, who gave him a firm look before turning her attention away from him and Hermione.
Hermione felt her stomach drop. Ron's looking at Lavender after she kissed him confirmed to her that he did still care about her and her feelings. Her telling Ron to kiss her in front of Lavender had been a test, one that he had just failed.
"Excuse me" Hermione said standing up.
"Where are you going?" Harry asked.
Hermione looked at Ron sadly before saying "Anywhere but here."
Ginny watched Hermione walk away shaking her head at her brother's stupidity. Ron had developed a crush on Hermione when he had first met her, and had been pining after her for years to follow, waiting until Hermione would finally admit that she felt the same way. Before Hermione could admit her feelings for Ron, Lavender had come along, throwing herself at Ron, something he was not used to, and he latched onto that feeling of being wanted. Eventually the two of them had broken up, when they realized that they really had nothing in common, and all the ever did when the hung out was make out, Ron eventually got bored, and ended things between the two of them. Lavender had been heartbroken, and had been trying to get Ron back ever since. Ron had decided finally go after Hermione, and when he finally got the courage to ask her out, Hermione had said yes and the two of them had become an item. Ron had been ecstatic, forgetting about Lavender in the process, or so Ginny had thought.
As soon as Hermione had left the Three Broomsticks, Ginny reached across the table and smacked her brother.
"Oi! What was that for?" Ron asked rubbing his arm.
"For being an idiot!" Ginny exclaimed.
"How am I being an idiot?" Ron asked angrily.
"You can't play two girls at once Ronald. You already had your chance with Lavender, and remember how that turned out? The two of you had nothing in common and you got bored, and left her, finally getting Hermione in the process, whom you have had a crush on for years if I remember correctly. So why in the hell are you jeopardizing that?"
"I'm not meaning to!" Ron exclaimed slamming his hands down on the table in frustration.
"Are you sleeping with her?" Ginny asked bluntly.
Harry looked at Ginny, and then looked at Ron, waiting to hear his answer.
Ron's face went bright red, and took a few seconds before saying "Which one?"
Ginny stood up and smacked Ron across the face, a loud slap resounding throughout the bar.
"I can't BELIEVE that you would sleep with that cheap bimbo while being in a relationship with Hermione!" Ginny hissed angrily.
Ron's face flushed even darker red. "I never said I was sleeping with her."
"You didn't have to" Ginny spat. "I know you well enough to be able to read your expressions."
"Ron, you aren't sleeping with Lavender are you?" Harry asked quietly.
Ron stuttered a few times before he finally gave in.
"I didn't mean for it to happen! Hermione wouldn't sleep with me, and I was getting frustrated, and I was sitting in the common room after a fight with Hermione, and Lavender just happened to be there, so I opened up to her and was talking to her about mine and Hermione's problems, and she made me feel better. Hermione made me feel like I wasn't wanted, and Lavender showed me how wanted I was. Next thing I knew we were in bed together."
"Was that the only time?" Ginny asked.
Ron didn't respond.
"Ronald Weasley!" Ginny hissed venomously. "How could you."
"I stopped it as soon as me and Hermione slept together" Ron said trying to defend himself.
"You absolutely disgust me. I can't believe you would do something like that to Hermione of all people. She trusted you enough to give herself to you, and this is what you've been doing behind her back the entire time?"
"For the longest time she wouldn't sleep with me! What was I supposed to do Ginny? Lavender made me feel wanted, Hermione didn't."
"Because Hermione is a proper girl who waits to share that part of herself with someone. Everybody knows that before you she had never slept with anyone before. There is nothing you can say that can excuse your disgusting behaviour. Let's go Harry" Ginny said standing up and walking out.
Ron looked up at Harry, chancing to see his reaction. He felt the guilt of his actions when Harry wouldn't even look at him. He walked away following Ginny without even chancing a look back at him.
