Dreams

*******************Hermione Perspective**********************

Hermione shot up in bed breathing hard and sweating. She looked at her clock and saw it was only 2:30 in the morning. She realized that she was having a bad dream, or was it?

She sat there and collected her thoughts about the dream. Then it all came back to her.

She was sitting in potion class helping Neville Longbottom as always, when Professor Snape roared out a question to her. She had known the answer but all of a sudden she was lost. The answer she knew so well was gone.

She felt like— like, Neville Longbottom. Her face went red and her eyes in shock as Snape patted his foot on the ground and growled in annoyance with the silents she was giving him.

"Ms. Granger, you are wasting my time, I am waiting for the answer silly girl!!" He growled.

She looked up at him scared out of her mind.

"I——.Sir, I don't know," her voice was shaky.

Snape went red in the face, "Fifty points from Gryffindor," he roared again as he headed for his desk. However Snape stopped and turned back around facing Hermione.

"Ms. Granger."

"Yes Professor?"

"Detention tonight, eight o'clock and not a minute late!"

Tears filled her eyes, "Yes, Professor."

Hermione glanced over at her friends, Harry and Ron, who whispered, "Are you ok?"

All Hermione could do was shake her head no.

****************Severus Perspective****************

"That's a first, the Ms. Brainy Granger didn't know the answer, I was she knew it.' Snape thought to himself as he walked back to his desk.

"I wonder if everything is ok with her.'

He stopped behind his desk looking down towards the stack of papers to grade.

"What the hell am I thinking? I am not suppose to care about anyone, and her, she's a mudblood and a Gryffindor at that!'

He slowly sat down in his chair, his eyes wondering through out his class room. He caught himself wanting to look at Hermione more than once.

"What the hell is wrong with me?'

He thought looking down at the stack of paper, trying not to think of Hermione, but failing terribly.

"I need out of here and to be alone away from her toxic self.'

He shot his head up at his class and growled, "Class dismissed."

As he watched his class pack their things, he thought to himself, "Can't they move any faster, little brats!'

He felt a pair of eyes on him and looked up and was staring straight on to Hermione's eyes.

"Ms. Granger, please stay behind."

Shaking and nervous out of her mind, Hermione simply squeaked, "Yes, Professor."

Snape shot up in bed, shaking his head and wondering to himself, "Where the hell did that come from?"

He got up and went to the bathroom to put some water on his face and use the bathroom. Walking back to his room, blinking a couple of times trying to adjust his eyes; he looked at the clock and growled.

It was only 2:30 in the morning.
